The primary goal of the Carolina Acceleration Sports Training Center is to provide a safe and professional environment where athletes can learn and develop the necessary skills needed to fulfill their genetic potential and become the most successful athlete they can be.


The Center will be able to collect scientific data to further research in the field of sports medicine and athletic training. These advances provide competitive athletes the means by which they may train consistently, sensibly and systematically over designated periods of time, in a safe, clean and professional environment to help prevent injury and improve athletic performance.

SIXTH TOOL PROGRAM

Designed specifically for the development of Baseball and Softball skills during the off-season and pre-season. The PRIMARY PURPOSE of the program is to increase overall POWER, help each athlete fulfill their gentic potential and become the most successful player they can be. This is accomplished by training consistently, sensibly and systematically over a designated period of time, in a safe, clean and professional environment.

Acceleration Program

The Acceleration Program at CA is the cornerstone program that is customized to each athletes abilities and needs. This specialized program is a unique 18 session conditioning experience designed to optimize an athletes speed, running mechanics, stride length and stride frequency, flexibility, coordination, strength, power, agility, reaction time and anaerobic endurance.

Sports Specific Weight Training

The two fundamental goals of strength training are to reduce specific muscular weaknesses and improve joint stability and mobility to serve as a protective measure against injury. Each athlete goes through a thorough evaluation covering height, weight, body fat, flexibility, strength, power and speed. The training methods and modes used will meet the needs of the individual in his or her sport and utilized within the context of periodization.

Sports Nutrition

Educating and providing athletes with current knowledge of nutritional and dietary factors that affects performance (performance enhancing substances, nutritional factors, weight loss and weight gain, and eating disorders.) C.A. partners with local nutritionists for more in depth treatment if necessary.

Sports Specific Skills Training

CA offers Cord Programs that implement the use of various resistance cords and weighted balls for sport-specific training. The use of our cord technology and weight balls enhances your workouts by providing resistance to upper and lower body extremities, building more powerful motions for throwing, hitting, sprinting and kicking or other sport-specific motions while optimazing biomechanics. Cords include the ThrowingCord™, HittingCord™/Harness,SprintCords, PowerCord™ and KickingCord™

WINTER TEAM TRAINING for Youth baseball and softball teams

In 2005 CA developed its first “winter workout” for the 9u GBC travel team. Since then we have trained over 180 teams through our baseball or softball specific indoor practice protocol. The WINTER TEAM TRAINING program helps individuals improve fielding, throwing, hitting, pitching, catching, hand-eye coordination and running speed.

Team Groundbase / SAQ Training

Speed, Agility, and Quickness training for teams/groups of 10 to 20 athletes involves development of movement skills in relation to sport specific patters (linear, lateral or vertical). SAQ training will improve speed, strength, agility and power. SAQ training will feature agility ladders, hurdle drills, linear/lateral spring drills, resistance quickness drills, dynamic flexibility drills, cone drills, plyometrics drills and medicine ball drills.

GBC PREPSTARS

This is the final chapter of the baseball players persuit of playing at the collegiate level. Players can tryout for the GBC PREPSTARS team as rising sophmores, rising juniors and rising seniors. First of all the program consists of paid coaches, all whom have played at the college level, who have coached at the college level or have played or coached professionally. Secondly a strength and conditioning program is implemented throught the summer months under the suppervision of a strength and conditioning specialist. Lastly there will be several on the field practices throughout the summer at professional stadiums, university/college venues and high school fields.
